Check out these resources I’ve collected along my running journey so far – sources of inspiration, products, and other helpful information that are helping me achieve my goals!

INSPIRATION

Every race I’ve run or will run in the future will have aspects of these incredible endurance athletes, business owners and people bouncing around in my head.  I hope you can take a a nugget or two like me to help you in some way.

        • Jason’s running podcast is one of the best for a reason. He brings incredible guests to the forum and I can’t thank him enough for continuing put running in perspective – there isn’t just one way to approach running. His number one goal is keep us runners RUNNING! Thank you Jason for all of the guidance, experts and products that keep us runners doing what we love to do!

        • I highly recommend The Mattock Dynamic Warm-Up Excercise routine he prescribes before you run.  This is so critical to keeping my body flexible for the demands we put on our body as those miles pile up.

    • Alex Hutchinson – Check out his books – Endure: Mind, Body, and the Curiously Elastic Limits of Human Performance, and The Explorers Gene. I’ve leveraged his insights for the most up to date perspective on fueling and understanding why my body reacts differently at mile 10 versus 20. Thank you Alex for your analysis!

    • Rich Roll – Finding Ultra – I gained a perspective on toughness, setbacks and believing in yourself through his book. Thank you Rich for showing me how each day is a fresh start!

RECOVERY

  • Vitality Unlimited Spa – I make it a point to get a massage after every race.  Each time I am reminded about how critical these are to losing up those knots that form or tightness that grows from these endurance challenging races.
